THE PRIVATE MICHAEL ANTHONY TENCH MESSAGE FORUM
Micheal was the last Light Infantryman Killed in action before the Regiment became The Rifles

PRIVATE MICHAEL ANTHONY TENCH, aged 18, of A Company, 2nd Battalion The Light Infantry, died on Sunday 21 January 2007 as a result of injuries sustained from an Improvised Explosive Device placed at a roadside in Basrah City,
Southern Iraq.

He was part of a Warrior patrol that had set out from the Shaat Al Arab Hotel, a British Army base in the North of the city, when the device activated. Four other members of the patrol were injured during the incident One of them remains in a very serious condition, the other three soldiers are in a stable condition.

Private Tench was born in March 1988 and went to school at Hylton Redhouse Comprehensive School in Sunderland. In his spare time he was a keen and talented boxer and regularly trained at Marley Potts Gym in Sunderland.

Make sure that you double check what you are entering in the boxes as, if they are wrong, you will not be able to activate your account.

You will receive (within a couple of hours) an activation E-mail to activate your account. If you fail to activate your account by this E-mail then it almost certain that you have not entered correctly your E-mail/Username or Password at registration. Within the message board itself there may be topics that are password protected to protect members and or events, and you will have to ask for the password for that topic through an e-mail TJS Form link

It is strongly recommended that people using web based e-mail clients such as HOTMAIL, AOL, FREESERVE, TISCALI etc etc change their e-mail program to Microsoft Outlook,  Outlook Express, or any other computer based e-mail program.  Assistance with this can be obtained by contacting me through the site.  Failure to do so may cause problems with getting responses to the TJS E-mail Forms on the site.
